D'Ouro was born from the need to produce soaps and cosmetic products for delicate skins and those suffering from atopy, that is, skins that are extremely sensitive to commercial formulations.

In 2019 I was challenged to make a full rebrand of D'Ouro visual identity.

This consisted in mostly taking pictures of products and conceiving the logo, website, catalogue, and finally, the physical labels.

The client had in mind a natural, rustic and artisanal atmosphere.I decided to photograph the product in a zenith angle focusing on the aesthetics of the background.

I made it textured to mimic the aroma of the product, transmitting a rustic look with neutral earthy tones as a base.

The light has a naturalistic treatment that brings out all the elements without being distracting.

New Logotype

logotype

I decided to simplify and modernize the previous logo.
I used a serif typography that helps to maintain a classic and timeless perspective, however in capital letters and using
a monochromatic palette, which in a way makes it more current and more readable when scaled down.
I kept the plant elements that illustrate the concept of natural and healthy, using a more minimalist approach, discreet and direct, a detail that does not detract from the font's power.

design

I kept the layout very neutral: white and black with hints of light green.

As more and more people become vegans they are likely to care for the welfare of animals, at the marketing level I focused on captioning vegan products, and putting slogans to demonstrate that this brand does not test their products on animals.

Labels

label design

The labels followed the same line as the logo: simple, legible, elegant.

To distinguish the various soap scents, different colours were used. The text position varies according to the soap thickness.

I took special care on the information hierarchy. The most important was to make everything clear and convey information as quickly as possible.

My idea was to modernize the image, creating a more futuristic and avant-garde look.

However, the customer was not satisfied with the final result, it did not convey what they desired.
